We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead Langlands Restaurant & Bar. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing and increasingly recognised destination in Melbourne’s dining scene.

You will lead, coach, and develop a team of hospitality professionals while driving exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.

As Venue Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the guest experience, fostering a strong team culture, and contributing to the ongoing success of a venue recognised for its quality and consistency. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact and further develop your leadership career within Hyatt.

Some of the responsibilities include:

- Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations and service delivery
- Manage rostering, staffing levels, and inventory control
- Lead, coach, and motivate the team on the floor
- Drive beverage knowledge within the team,



coaching staff to confidently recommend beverages — developing a “junior sommelier” mindset across the floor
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing team development
- Collaborate closely with culinary, events, and hotel teams to ensure seamless operations

Qualifications

About you:

- Minimum 5 years managerial experience in a premium restaurants or hotel establishments and 10+ years hospitality experience
- A confident, hands-on leader who enjoys developing and empowering others
- Passion for food and beverage and guest experience, with strong wine knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, rostering, and business performance
- Professional, proactive, and confident making decisions under pressure
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
