Immediate Start - Commencing Monday

We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Adviser for an immediate start on a $25 million bulk earthworks project based in Brisbane.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading National Tier 2 Contractor that continues to play a key role in South East Queensland's infrastructure boom. Initially offered as a 3-month contract, the project has a 12-month construction program, creating a genuine opportunity for the successful candidate to transition into a permanent position.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Project Manager on site and the State Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of health and safety across the project. Working closely with the delivery team, you will ensure the highest safety standards are maintained while supporting a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive site safety performance and promote a positive safety culture.
- Conduct daily site inspections, audits and workplace observations.
- Lead pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Investigate incidents, hazards and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with project and legislative requirements.
- Assist with risk assessments, SWMS reviews and safety documentation.
- Maintain project safety records and reporting requirements.




- Provide practical safety advice and support to site management and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies and client requirements.

About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
- A minimum of 10 years' in office experience in a dedicated safety role.
- Proven experience delivering safety outcomes on bulk earthworks projects.
- Demonstrated experience working in brownfield urban environments, including projects such as road, rail or airport upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and construction safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant WHS qualifications.
- The ability to commence this Monday.
