Participation Officer (Part-time fixed term) Gladstone region

At Queensland Cricket, our purpose is easy: To promote and grow cricket, ensuring all Queenslanders can play, participate and enjoy the game. We're looking for an enthusiastic and community-focused part-time Participation Officer to help deliver cricket participation programs, support the Australian Cricket Pathway, and inspire the next generation of players across Queensland.

About the Role

As a Participation Officer in the Gladstone region, you will play a key role in growing participation in cricket by delivering engaging school-based programs, supporting the transition of participants into club cricket, and helping create inclusive opportunities for people of all abilities to enjoy the game. Working closely with schools, clubs, volunteers and community stakeholders,



you will help build strong relationships and create positive cricket experiences for children and families.

Position Details

Contract length: 16 weeks

Hours: 20 hours a week

Employment: Part-time (fixed-term)

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and deliver high-quality Cricket Blast programs in schools.
- Work with local clubs and Cricket Managers to increase participation and transition participants into club cricket.
- Support and guide Queensland Cricket's casual delivery workforce.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and key education stakeholders.
- Promote inclusive participation opportunities and support the delivery of all-abilities cricket programs.
- Assist with the delivery of diversity and inclusion initiatives across the region.
- Support regional cricket development activities and projects.
- Collaborate with clubs, local government, schools and community stakeholders to grow the game.
- Prepare reports and provide administrative support as required.
- Assist with additional community cricket initiatives and projects.

To be successful, you will have:

- Experience delivering or coordinating community sport participation programs.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to influence and engage a diverse range of stakeholders.




- A solutions-focused and collaborative approach.
- A commitment to child safety and inclusion.

Desirable

- Knowledge of cricket pathways and community cricket programs.

Mandatory Requirements

- Current Australian Driver's Licence (C Class).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or the ability to obtain).
- Current Blue Card (or the ability to obtain).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends during peak cricket periods.
