Montgomery Advisory is partnering with a leading top-tier law firm to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate to join its market-leading Funds, Superannuation & Financial Services team in Sydney.

This is an exceptional opportunity to advise leading Australian and international fund sponsors, institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds on some of the market's most sophisticated investment funds transactions.

You will work across a broad range of asset classes, including private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate and private credit, while gaining exposure to complex domestic and cross-border matters.

The Role

You will advise on a broad range of investment funds matters, including:

- Establishment of investment funds, co-investment vehicles, continuation funds and investment management arrangements
- Fund investments, co-investments and direct investments for institutional and sovereign investors
- Secondary fund transactions
- Funds-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions
- Financial services regulatory and compliance matters, including licensing requirements

Working within a collaborative national team,



you will gain exposure to a broad range of partners and matters while developing your own areas of specialisation.

About You

You will have:

- Experience in investment funds, superannuation or financial services, gained within a leading private practice or in-house team
- Experience in fund establishment, fund investments or broader funds transactions
- Alternatively, experience in M&A; with exposure to funds-related transactions, particularly across the infrastructure or real estate sectors
- Robust academic credentials
- Excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in investment funds
