Structural Engineer

MAINTAIN Group is a specialist mining services contractor operating across Structural, Mechanical & Piping (SMP), Fabrication & Supply, Scaffolding, and Industrial Coatings. We're looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team, based at our Forrestdale workshop.

About the Role
This is a Perth-based role suited to someone who wants hands-on exposure to real project delivery — from procurement through to close-out. You'll work closely with project teams and General Manager - Operations to keep technical documentation, planning, and traceability on track across live jobs.

Key Responsibilities

- Ordering steel
- Compiling MTO (Material Take-Off) lists
- Compiling MDR (Manufacturer's Data Report) reports
- Drafting methodologies
- Drafting Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
- Drafting Inspection Test Reports (ITRs)
- Building project Gantt charts/schedules in Microsoft Project
- Drafting Technical Queries (TQs) for client submission




- Putting together weld maps
- Compiling traceability registers for each project
- Ability to construct fabrication drawings (a bonus)

What We're Looking For

- Site-based experience essential
- Suited to candidates with less than 5 years' experience
- S26 qualification advantageous
- An understanding of SMP, Fabrication & Install, Coatings, and Scaffolding is advantageous
- Solid attention to detail and document control discipline
- Comfortable working to deadlines across multiple concurrent projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project (or willingness to learn quickly)

Initially offered on a casual ongoing basis with permanent position available for the right candidate.
