About the Role
The Parks Supervisor is responsible for leading the delivery of parks maintenance and operational services across the City, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The role provides leadership and direction to operational staff and contractors, overseeing daily work activities, workforce productivity, quality assurance, and the effective use of materials, plant, equipment and resources.
The position contributes to the management of operational budgets, procurement activities, contract performance and parks asset maintenance. It also oversees the implementation of minor parks capital projects, ensuring delivery within approved scope, budget and timelines.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Parks Supervisor supports service delivery through effective contractor management, customer service, and the administration of works management systems. The role also promotes a strong culture of safety, sustainability and continuous improvement, while providing relief support to the Service Lead Parks as required.
About you
You are an experienced parks professional with a strong background in parks operations, maintenance and asset management. You have demonstrated success leading teams and contractors, delivering high-quality outcomes, and maintaining a strong focus on safety,
productivity and customer service.
You bring strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with experience managing contractors, budgets and operational priorities. Your sound knowledge of horticulture, turf management and/or arboriculture, combined with a commitment to safety, sustainability and continuous improvement, will enable you to thrive in this role. Relevant qualifications in Horticulture or Turf Management, together with the required licences and certifications, are essential.

Salary and Advantages: Starting from Level 6 Step 1 – Step 4 ($104,647 - $112,705) of the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience. A city vehicle may be provided for commuting privileges subject to operational requirements and Director approval.
