Ongoing Casual Position with Permanent Opportunity
Our client, a leading food manufacturing and distribution business, is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Warehouse All-Rounder to join their warehouse team in Dandenong South.
This is an ongoing opportunity offering full-time hours, stable employment and the potential to secure a permanent position after approximately six months.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of forklift operation and warehouse duties. You'll be working in a chilled environment and should be comfortable stepping off the forklift to assist with various warehouse tasks throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating High Reach forklifts safely and efficiently
- Operating Double Deep forklifts
- Picking and packing orders
- RF scanning and inventory transactions
- Loading, unloading and stock replenishment
- Accurately recording pallet IDs, batch numbers and stock movements
- Using warehouse management systems and computer-based inventory systems
- General warehouse duties and housekeeping
- Following site safety, quality and compliance procedures
Skills & Experience
- Current LF Forklift Licence
- Proven High Reach forklift experience
- Double Deep forklift experience is essential
- Previous warehouse and distribution experience
- RF scanning experience
- Solid computer skills and confidence using warehouse systems
- Ability to work in a chilled environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
