Position Information

The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW children from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people. A School Administration Officer is responsible to the Principal for assisting in a range of school, classroom and office activities eg record keeping, book keeping and other clerical duties, reception; operating and maintaining classroom and office equipment; purchasing; preparing and maintaining stock and learning/resource materials. The School Administrative Officer will commence in Term 4 2026 and play an important role in supporting the establishment of the new public preschool, which will open on Day 1, Term 1 2027. Proudly located within the Albury Network of Schools, the new primary school and preschool is situated in Wirlinga, a rapidly growing suburb of Albury, NSW. The preschool will comprise three purpose-built learning spaces supporting approximately 120 students each fortnight and will operate as part of the new Wirlinga Public School and Preschool community. The successful applicant will work closely with the Preschool Teachers, School Administrative Manager and Principal to support enrolment processes, maintain accurate student records and provide high-quality administrative support. A robust focus on customer service, organisation, communication, confidentiality and efficient administrative practices will be essential.



The role will support the establishment of systems and processes that contribute to the successful opening and ongoing operation of the preschool. The preschool will provide an inclusive, responsive and supportive environment that allows each child to develop to their potential. As part of the broader Wirlinga Public School and Preschool community, the successful applicant will work collaboratively with students, families, staff and community members to foster positive relationships and ensure a welcoming experience for all families.
