About the role The School Health Nurse will be based in Broome on a Full-time basis. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering school health services to children aged 4-17 years within the communities we serve. This position requires a dedicated professional who can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while engaging with various stakeholders, including schools, health agencies, and community organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide evidence-based health care to children and families in line with our Model of Care.
- Deliver school-based health education and preventive health programs, including routine immunisations.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement effective child health programs.
- Collect and analyse health data to monitor the quality of health services and inform improvements.
- Engage with the community to raise awareness of health issues and promote health literacy.

Experience and qualifications required The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to improving the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, and a deep understanding of the health challenges faced by these communities.

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in school health services within Indigenous primary health care settings.
- Ability to conduct training sessions for diverse audiences.
- Current WA driver’s licence and willingness to travel to remote locations.
- National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.

What's on offer for the successful candidate The role offers a competitive base salary of $127,618 per annum pro rata, alongside various benefits including:
