Job Description

Morgan Consulting Engineers are looking for a senior structural engineer for their Brisbane based office. The role offers a motivated person the opportunity to join their forensic department delivering quality structural designs and reports for remediation, alteration and complex recent works. This role provides a wide range of experiences across residential, commercial and industrial developments. For the right applicant there will be exciting projects including remedial and alteration design to Heritage structures including 100+ year old churches and woolsheds.

The Role

- Design of a wide range of structures
- Checking the design and documentation of yourself and others
- Carrying out site inspections of projects designed by yourself and others
- Carrying out site visits to assist in the design process
- Liaising with builders, other consultants and clients

What you need





- 4-8 years experience within a structural consulting environment with at least 2-4 years in Forensic or Remedial design
- A RPEQ license or working towards achieving it
- Completion of a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree at an Australian University. A Major in structures would be an advantage
- A strong understanding of timber, steel and concrete design
- A strong understanding 3D Frame Analysis software such as Space Gas
- A strong understanding of concrete analysis software such as Inducta Slabs
- A strong skill base with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong analytical skills to develop effective and innovative solutions
- The ability to manage your workload to achieve project deliverables
- Enthusiasm to learn
- Desire to build your career in a leadership role, supportive, progressive organisation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to develop, maintain and enhance client relationships
- The ability to follow quality and HS&E; procedures
- Australian Permanent Residency/Citizenship is essential
