This is a rare chance for a senior lawyer to step into a genuinely national role, working across multiple Australian jurisdictions within a highly respected regulatory environment.
You'll be part of a collaborative, high-performing team that tackles complex legal, compliance and enforcement challenges with real-world impact. The work is intellectually stimulating, varied and strategic, offering exposure to regulatory policy, investigations, governance, enforcement, risk and stakeholder engagement at the highest levels.
Reporting to a senior regulatory leader, you will provide legal and compliance advice on matters that have national significance. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Australia, you will:
- Provide legal, regulatory and compliance advice on complex issues
- Support compliance reviews, investigations and enforcement activities
- Assess regulatory risks and develop practical recommendations
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of regulatory frameworks, policies and guidance materials
- Prepare high-quality legal advice, reports, briefings and recommendations
- Engage with senior stakeholders across government, regulatory and industry sectors
- Help shape future regulatory initiatives and policy reform programs

About You
You are a capable and commercially minded lawyer who enjoys solving complex problems and navigating evolving regulatory environments.
You will likely bring:
- 5+ years' PAE
- Experience in regulatory, compliance, administrative, government or commercial legal practice
- Strong legal drafting, advisory and analytical skills
- Background dealing with investigations, compliance reviews, enforcement matters or regulatory frameworks
- Experience drafting or supporting the development of Commonwealth, State and/or Territory legislation and associated regulatory instruments, including rules, guidance notes and policies
- The ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
- Sound judgement, initiative and a practical approach to problem-solving
- Enjoy the option of hybrid working - two days WFH
