This position is based on a well-established cattle station near Elliott, Northern Territory, forming part of one of Australia's largest and most respected pastoral businesses with a portfolio of multiple station aggregations across the country. Reporting to Station Management, this role is ideally suited to an experienced MC Road Train Driver with livestock transport experience who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining equipment and is looking to become part of a qualified station operation. An immediate start is available for the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Transport livestock safely between station properties and external destinations while maintaining best practice animal welfare, quality assurance and fatigue management standards.
- Complete general freight cartage, deliver supplements and hay, load and unload trucks,
and assist with heavy machinery operation as required.
- Maintain road trains and trailers to a safe, clean and roadworthy standard, including scheduling servicing and carrying out routine maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct general property observations while travelling and assist with broader station operations when required.
Selection Criteria:
- Current Multi Combination (MC) Licence with previous livestock transport experience (essential).
- Genuine interest in working and living on a remote cattle station.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to safety and animal welfare.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a station team.
