About The Program

18 months | 3 different teams | 6-month rotations

Our award-winning graduate program has been running for many years and is ranked among Australia’s top ten small-sized programs on the AAGE Top Graduate Employers list.

Graduates are hired as permanent employees and spend their first 18 months on the graduate program, experiencing three different teams across our business, known as ‘rotations’. In addition to completing three rotations, graduates progress through a structured learning and development plan, have access to senior leaders, and spend time with their graduate cohort forming meaningful and long-lasting connections.

- Business (Small & Medium Enterprises)

- Risk
- Insurance underwriting

Claims

As a Claims Graduate, you’ll gain hands-on experience across QBE’s commercial claims environment, with exposure to areas such as commercial motor, marine, aviation, operations and digital & data.

You’ll see how claims move from lodgment through to resolution, while also contributing to analytics, business improvement, systems and transformation work that helps us deliver better customer and business outcomes.

You’ll contribute to initiatives involving analytics, change, communication resources, customer strategy and systems improvement. You will build a robust foundation in project delivery, strategic and data-led decision making.

Eligibility

Our graduate program commences once a year each February. To be eligible for the underwriting business area of the 2027 graduate program, you must:

- Have completed and passed tertiary education in the two years prior to the graduate program start date, graduating between the end of 2024 and the end of 2026
- Be an Australian citizen, resident or a NZ citizen
- Submit a resume and academic transcript with your application. A cover letter is not required.
- Be able to start full time in February 2027

You must have qualifications in commerce, business, data & analytics, or similar transferable studies.
