About the Team

Joining the Development team at ARTC means being part of a dynamic group focused on growing the business and enhancing our overall commercial performance. You’ll be part of a shaping the future of our business by building demand for freight on rail – not only to help Australia achieve its Net Zero targets but also contributing to safer roads and a more cost-effective mode of transport.

At ARTC, we exist to keep Australia moving and the Development team plays a pivotal role in building the case for rail as a sustainable and efficient transport solution for our nation.

About the Opportunity

As Senior Adviser – Corporate Affairs, you'll be at the forefront of building ARTC's reputation, leading strategic engagement with government, industry and the media. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll influence key decisions, manage complex issues and help advance our ambition to grow freight on rail across Australia.

What you'll be doing:

- Lead strategic engagement with government,



industry and key external stakeholders to strengthen ARTC's reputation and influence.
- Develop and deliver advocacy strategies, government submissions, executive briefings and communication materials.
- Manage proactive and reactive media engagement, protecting and enhancing ARTC's public profile.
- Provide trusted advice to senior leaders on corporate affairs, stakeholder engagement, reputational risks and emerging issues.
- Build strong partnerships across government, industry and the wider business to support strategic outcomes.
- Support crisis communications, issues management and stakeholder engagement initiatives that align with ARTC's business objectives.

What do we want from you?

- Demonstrated experience in corporate affairs, government relations, public affairs or strategic communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing media, advocacy and complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong understanding of Australia's local, state and federal political landscape.
- Ability to think strategically while confidently managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
