We are a boutique law firm practising in Will and Estate Law in Queensland. We have offices in Milton, Ashgrove and also the Sunshine Coast.
We are expanding and looking for a Senior Associate with 7+ years experience in Wills and Estates to help us grow the practice.
Note: The position be from our Milton Brisbane office The work
You will work across the full range of wills and estates matters, including:
Estate planning
- Wills, testamentary trusts, enduring powers of attorney, appointments of enduring guardian and advance care directives.
- Planning for individuals, business owners and family groups, including matters that touch trusts, companies and other structures.
- Superannuation death benefit nominations and SMSF succession.
Estate administration
- Overseeing juniors on Probate, letters of administration and intestate estates.
- Deceased estate administration, including substantial estates.
- Advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries.
Estate litigation
- Family provision claims
- Will disputes, capacity challenges and contested estate matters.
- Working alongside our litigation team on contested files.
About you
You are a Senior wills and estates lawyer who is comfortable owning matters and relationships.
You are a problem solver.
You will have
- At least 7 years post admission experience in wills and estates law.
- A current QLD practising certificate.
Solid experience in:
- Estate planning for individuals, business owners and family groups.
- Deceased estate administration.
- Estate litigation, including family provision claims.
- High level drafting and strong attention to detail.
- Running files independently and dealing directly with clients and their advisers.
It is a plus if you also have:
- Law Society Specialist accreditation in Wills and Estates, or working toward it.
