An outstanding opportunity is available for an experienced lawyer to join a highly respected practice dedicated to advising charities, not-for-profit organisations, member-based associations and other purpose-driven entities.

The Opportunity

You will advise a diverse client base across a broad range of legal issues affecting charities and purpose-led organisations, including:

- Governance, constitutional and corporate advisory matters.
- Charity establishment, structuring and regulatory compliance.
- Applications relating to charitable status, tax concessions and regulatory approvals.
- Preparing detailed legal opinions, submissions and strategic advice.
- Fundraising, membership and governance obligations.
- Organisational restructures, mergers and collaborative arrangements.
- Board and director responsibilities, governance frameworks and risk management.
- Internal governance disputes and constitutional interpretation.
- Ongoing commercial and strategic legal support to executive teams and boards.

This is a specialist advisory role where you will work closely with clients on long-term strategic matters rather than purely transactional work.

About You

You will ideally have





- Approximately 5+ years' post-admission experience in corporate, commercial, governance, taxation, charities or not-for-profit law.
- Strong technical drafting and advisory skills.
- The ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a practical and commercially focused way.
- Experience managing client relationships with confidence and professionalism.
- A collaborative approach and an interest in mentoring junior lawyers.
- A genuine interest in supporting organisations operating within the social impact and purpose-driven sectors.

Previous experience acting for charities or not-for-profit organisations will be highly regarded, although candidates with transferable corporate or governance experience are also encouraged to apply. Why Join?
