A prominent international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Insurance Litigation team in Melbourne.

This is a strong opportunity to work on complex financial lines and professional indemnity matters within a high-performing practice, with exposure to high-profile disputes, class actions and regulatory matters.

The Opportunity

You’ll work closely with an experienced Partner and team on a broad mix of sophisticated matters, acting for insurers, corporates and professionals across a range of industries.

Your work will include

- Professional indemnity and D&O; matters

- Construction-related disputes (primarily litigated)

- Class action defence work

- Coverage advice for insurers

- Regulatory investigations and disputes

- Drafting pleadings, advices and submissions

- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and insurers

- Appearances in courts and tribunals (as appropriate)

You’ll gain exposure to matters across multiple jurisdictions, including superior courts and tribunals.

About You

- 4+ years’ post-admission experience (flexible)

- Background in commercial litigation, insurance or professional indemnity

- Strong litigation and file management skills

- Excellent drafting, communication and research ability





- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously

- Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail

- Commercially focused with a client-centric approach

- Motivated to build expertise in insurance litigation
