As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you'll play a key role in lifting the quality and reliability of the software that supports our members every day. You'll combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership, helping shape our automation strategy, mentoring engineers and driving best practice across the delivery lifecycle.

Working closely with developers, Product Owners and delivery teams, you'll build scalable automation solutions that enable continuous testing, improve quality and accelerate delivery. You'll also influence the way we approach quality engineering, bringing new ideas, modern tools and continuous improvement to everything we do. This role is available on a 12 month contract in Perth or Sydney.

In this role you'll

- Design, develop and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks and test suites across UI, API, integration, system and UAT testing
- Embed automation into CI/CD pipelines and drive continuous testing throughout the software development lifecycle
- Mentor and coach engineers, providing technical leadership and uplifting automation capability across the team
- Partner with developers, Product Owners and stakeholders to improve testability, quality and delivery outcomes
- Analyse test results, quality metrics, risks and defects to support informed decision making and continuous improvement
- Ensure automation standards, coding practices and governance are consistently applied across delivery teams
- Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies and contemporary testing practices, including AI-assisted testing where appropriate

About you





You're someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and finding smarter ways to improve software quality through automation. You think beyond writing automated tests and are passionate about building quality into every stage of the development lifecycle.

You enjoy collaborating with developers, Product Owners and delivery teams, and you're comfortable mentoring others and sharing your expertise to lift capability across the team.

You'll bring a mix of technical expertise and leadership, including:

- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, C#, .NET, SpecFlow (BDD) and API automation
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks and embedding automation into CI/CD pipelines
- A solid understanding of modern quality engineering practices, including shift-left testing, risk-based testing and testing across APIs and microservices
- Confidence working with stakeholders, coaching team members and influencing best practice across Agile delivery teams

Experience with AWS, Splunk, CloudWatch or AI-assisted testing tools would be a bonus, as would an ISTQB certification. Most importantly, you're curious, collaborative and always looking for better ways to improve quality, streamline delivery and help your team succeed.
