Your new role

This is a 12 month contract opportunity. The focus of this role is to work closely with JANA’s Infrastructure Research team to provide investment consulting services to JANA’s institutional investor base, including superannuation funds, insurers and other institutional clients, and to conduct research and due diligence on infrastructure investments for JANA managed investment trusts. This role is located in our Melbourne or Sydney office and reports to the Head of Infrastructure Research.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting due diligence on infrastructure co-investments and unlisted infrastructure funds across sectors including transportation, renewable energy, energy transition and digital infrastructure
- Covering the global unlisted infrastructure fund market and investment managers to identify investment opportunities for clients
- Providing advisory services on infrastructure portfolio construction, co-investment structure and deployment strategy
- Monitoring and reviewing the performance of infrastructure investments and unlisted funds for JANA’s clients




- Preparing investment notes and presenting them to senior internal and external stakeholders
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to broader business development opportunities

About you Equally challenging and rewarding, this opportunity is perfect for someone with:

- 7-10+ years’ experience in unlisted infrastructure investments, infrastructure debt/project finance, infrastructure valuations, or infrastructure advisory (candidates with 5+ years and relevant experience will also be considered)
- A relevant undergraduate degree; CA, CFA or a Master of Finance (or equivalent postgraduate qualification) highly regarded
- A strong understanding of infrastructure assets, including return drivers, financial metrics, term sheets and investment risk
- Experience analysing investment data in Excel, including complex financial models, and financial databases
- Excellent communication skills, with experience preparing investment papers and presenting to internal and external stakeholders
- A collaborative, client-centric mindset and the ability to build trust and robust relationships across the business
