About us
Central Queensland Health's Workforce and Organisational Capability Unit is a key corporate service responsible for developing workforce capability and organisational effectiveness across the health service.
Delivering strategic and operational human resource functions, the unit provides leadership in workforce attraction, retention, learning and development, employee relations, performance, organisational change, safety and wellbeing. Through collaborative partnerships and evidence-based workforce strategies, the service supports sustainable workforce outcomes that enable the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare across Central Queensland.
About the role
- Lead workplace and industrial relations across Central Queensland Health, providing expert advice on complex industrial and employee relations matters.
- Oversee the delivery of workplace relations services, including employment law, policy governance, case management and advisory support.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of workplace relations professionals to deliver high-quality, customer-focused human resource services.
- Partner with executive leaders, specialist HR teams, unions and external stakeholders to deliver workforce initiatives and represent the Health Service.
- Drive continuous improvement through workforce planning, performance reporting, policy development and innovative HR strategies that support organisational objectives and patient-centred care.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources or a related discipline,
with postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience highly regarded.
- Demonstrated expertise in industrial and employee relations, including providing strategic advice on complex case management, policy and legislative requirements.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence senior leaders, staff and external stakeholders through exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership capability with experience developing high-performing teams, anticipating workforce issues and representing an organisation in external forums.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $187,651 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $78.39 - $82.94 p.h.
- An annualised salary between $155,432 - $164,467 p.a.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
