Senior Critical Infrastructure Service Engineer

Location: Sydney, NSW

Salary: Up to $150,000 + Super + $20,000 Vehicle Allowance

About the Company

Our client is a global leader in mission-critical cooling solutions, supporting some of the world's largest data centres and critical infrastructure facilities.

Due to continued growth across Australia, they are seeking an experienced Senior Critical Infrastructure Service Engineer to join their NSW team and support a growing portfolio of Sydney Metro data centre projects.

The Role

This is a senior field-based position focused on servicing, maintaining and commissioning critical cooling infrastructure across live data centre environments throughout the Sydney Metro area.

You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of mission-critical systems, working across preventative maintenance, fault finding, technical support and equipment optimisation within high-availability facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Service and maintain critical cooling systems within live data centre environments across Sydney Metro.
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, refrigeration and controls faults.
- Support equipment commissioning, testing and system optimisation.
- Complete technical reports and service documentation.
- Liaise with customers, contractors and internal engineering teams to deliver effective solutions.




- Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with strict site requirements.

About You

- Proven experience working within live data centre environments (essential).
- Trade qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
- Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence.
- Experience servicing mission-critical cooling infrastructure, precision cooling systems or chilled water systems.
- Robust fault-finding and commissioning experience.
- Ability to work autonomously across customer sites.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
- Full Australian Driver's Licence.

Desirable

- Experience servicing OEM critical cooling equipment within data centre environments.
- Exposure to precision cooling systems, chilled water systems or large-scale thermal management solutions.
- Knowledge of BMS, PLCs and building control systems.
- Experience working within Tier III/Tier IV data centres or other mission-critical facilities.
