Supportive and professional working setting. Scope to contribute to future business growth and expansion. Task & responsibilities Develop and oversee the company’s financial strategies, budgets, forecasts and policies.

Prepare financial reports, cash-flow forecasts and commercial analysis for senior management. Advise management on profitability, funding, cost control and overall financial performance. Oversee financial statements, taxation, BAS, GST, payroll, superannuation, audit and statutory reporting.

Manage cash flow, working capital, customer credit, supplier payments and foreign-currency exposure. Monitor freight margins, operating costs and financial risks across the logistics business. Maintain effective internal controls,



approval processes and risk-management systems.

Oversee payroll, accounts payable and receivable, banking, reconciliations, debt recovery and month-end reporting. Assess investments, financing arrangements, business expansion and other major commercial decisions. Manage finance personnel and coordinate with accountants, auditors, banks, insurers and skilled advisers.

Improve accounting systems, reporting processes, financial efficiency and business profitability.

Qualification & experience A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a closely related field. Substantial experience in a senior financial management position (at least 5 years).

Demonstrated experience managing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow, internal controls and financial risk. Strong knowledge of Australian accounting, taxation and statutory reporting obligations. Experience in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, transport or another commercially complex industry is highly desirable.

Experience in managing foreign-currency transactions, working capital, and commercial debtor exposure would be advantageous. Strong analytical, leadership and commercial decision-making skills are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to communicate financial information clearly to directors, managers and other stakeholders. CPA, CA or equivalent professional membership is desirable but not mandatory.
