About the Company:

Established for 40+ years, you will be joining a privately-owned business providing premium national property and facilities management services to the office, commercial, retail and industrial markets.

About the Position:

Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Credit Officer to join our head office finance team based in Sydney (Alexandria, NSW). Reporting to the Credit Manager, the primary responsibility of the role is the management of customer invoices across a large and diverse customer portfolio. The role is based 5 days on-site (in office).

Key responsibilities:

Core responsibilities of the role / position include:

- Manage the efficient and timely collection of customer invoices and account balances.
- Identify, manage and escalate customer accounts which demonstrate behaviours of non-payment or payment delay.
- Perform daily cash allocations and related internal cashflow reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, reporting and customer payment performance.
- Maintain and monitor internal financial systems and records to ensure accurate and up to date.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics as it relates to the performance of the Credit team within the wider business objectives.
- Assist with month-end reporting and other ad hoc tasks from time-to-time.




- Engage with internal business unit teams to onboard customers ensure timely payment of new customer accounts.
- Develop working relationships both internal within business unit teams and with external customer representatives.

Measures of success in the role:

- Efficient and timely collection of customer account balances.
- Achievement of monthly cash collection targets and cash flow forecasts.
- Resolution of aged or becoming aged customer balances.
- Quality of internal and external relationships as it relates to the proactive management of customer accounts.

Key candidate attributes:

- Minimum 4 years experience in a comparable role with large and diverse customer account portfolio.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with Microsoft Business Central (Dynamics 365) preferred but not essential.
- Experience with use of industry related portals or procurement systems including COUPA, ARIBA or CORRIGO preferred but not essential.
- Strong and effective communication skills, with ability to identify and resolve problems independently or with support as required.
