Valor Residential is an integrated architecture and construction company specialising in architecturally designed custom homes, luxury renovations and bespoke residential projects throughout Sydney. We're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator / Project Coordinator to join our growing team.
This is a varied role that combines sales estimating, production estimating, project coordination and client interaction. You'll work closely with our directors, project managers, site teams and clients to help ensure projects are accurately priced, professionally presented and successfully delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Estimating
- Prepare concept estimates, BOQs and tenders.
- Review drawings and specifications for completeness and buildability.
- Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Identify value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare professional tender documentation.
Client & Sales Support
- Attend client meetings alongside our sales team.
- Present tenders and explain project costs, inclusions and exclusions.
- Assist prospective clients through the tender process.
- Build confidence through clear, professional communication.
- Support the sales team in converting opportunities into signed projects.
Production Estimating
- Complete detailed production estimating for projects entering construction.
- Prepare trade packages and procurement schedules.
- Issue purchase orders and assist with subcontractor engagement.
- Maintain accurate cost databases and estimating systems.
Project Coordination
- Assist Project Managers with active construction projects.
- Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and consultants.
- Track procurement and long-lead items.
- Assist with contract variations and cost tracking.
- Support project delivery from commencement through to completion.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in residential construction estimating.
- Proven experience in both sales estimating and production estimating.
- Experience supporting live construction projects.
- Advanced experience using Cubit Buildsoft is essential.
- Robust understanding of residential construction methods and sequencing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Confident meeting and presenting to prospective clients.
- Strong negotiation and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
