Role Description The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for the effective management of the client site’s facilities, including frontline assessment and triage of building and property-related tasks received through the helpdesk system.

The Facilities Manager will provide leadership, mentoring, and support to Handyperson, Facilities Officer, or other relevant service providers. A key responsibility of this role is to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Property Services Coordinated Procurement (PSCP) Contract requirements.

Additionally, the role carries a duty of care to work safely,



taking reasonable measures to protect personal health and safety, as well as that of colleagues and visitors, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. This role will be in client site. The Facilities Manager will also be required to provide after hours assistance and support as needed.

Main Duties

Asset Management:

- Manage and maintain Property Asset and Maintenance Plans, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and accurate asset records.
Coordinate planned maintenance activities and use asset performance and maintenance data to optimise asset lifecycle outcomes and support informed decision-making.

- Facilities Management:

- Coordinate preventative, reactive, and planned maintenance activities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations.
- Manage contractors, work orders, and stakeholder communications to deliver maintenance works and resolve facility issues.

Procurement & Contract Management:

- Procure maintenance services and minor works in accordance with contractual and organisational requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance, manage service delivery, and maintain effective relationships with clients and service providers.

Emergency Management:

- Support emergency preparedness and response through evacuation planning, emergency exercises,



and facilities-related incident management.
- Provide facilities support to Chief Wardens and contribute to workplace health, safety, and compliance initiatives.

Sustainability & Landlord Relations:

- Build solid relationships with landlords, building managers, and stakeholders to support effective property operations.
- Support sustainability initiatives, compliance reporting, and continuous improvement across the property portfolio.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Develop robust relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality facilities management services.
- Participate in operational meetings, incident management, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

Experience

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in facilities management, building, business, or a related field, or 3-5 years of experience in facilities, property management, or hospitality.

Technical Expertise: Strong background in FM environments, vendor management, and technical property systems (e.g., CRAC, chiller systems, fire protection, M&E;, BMS).

Contract & Financial Management: Proven ability to interpret commercial contracts, manage budgets, and conduct financial analysis.

Building & Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of complex building systems, WHS requirements, and Property Services Coordinated Procurement arrangements.

Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in client management systems, stakeholder and contractor management, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Security Clearance: Minimum Baseline Security clearance.
