Sandfire has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to join the Finance team. Reporting to the Group FP&A; Manager, the Senior FP&A; Analyst is a key member of Sandfire's Group FP&A; team. The successful application will play a critical role in supporting Executive decision making through financial planning, performance analysis and commercial insights.
This role partners closely with corporate functions and operational teams across Australia, Botswana and Spain to deliver the Group's budgeting and forecasting processes, analyse business performance and support external market reporting. The position will also help drive the ongoing transformation of Sandfire's FP&A; capability through improvements to systems, planning processes and management reporting.

About the role
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordination of the Group annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Consolidate financial plans from global operations and corporate functions into Group reporting.
- Analyse key business drivers, trends and variances against budget, forecast and prior periods.
- Support Executive Leadership with financial analysis to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Prepare Board reporting and presentations supporting budget approval and business performance updates.
- Monitor financial and operational KPIs and proactively identify opportunities to improve business performance.
- Provide financial analysis supporting quarterly market reporting, investor communications and external disclosures.
- Build strong relationships with corporate functions and operational stakeholders across the Group
- Coach and build financial capability across the business to improve commercial decision-making Challenge assumptions, identify opportunities for improvement and provide commercially focused recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement across forecasting, reporting and analytical processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the efficiency and quality of financial reporting.
About you
- Commerce/Business undergraduate and CA/CPA post graduate qualifications or a technical qualification.
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A;/management accounting, preferably within mining, resources or another complex multi-site environment
- System experience with Anaplan highly desirable
- Strong written and oral communication, including the ability to distil key messages to different audiences (finance and non-finance stakeholders).
- Proven stakeholder management and business partnering capability.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively across geographically dispersed teams and different cultures.
- Strong leadership qualities to actively mentor and support team members and other stakeholders
