Standards team and help strengthen how grants are administered across DCCEEW. This role is about helping the department administer grants through best practice and standards. You'll combine sound judgement, practical problem-solving and a strong understanding of grants governance to support consistent and transparent administration across a diverse range of programs. You will be a trusted source of advice, helping teams navigate requirements,

apply the NSW Government Grants Administration Guide and make informed decisions. You'll also play an significant role in improving the frameworks,

policies and resources that support good grants administration across the department. In this role, you'll:

develop practical guidance, tools and training resources provide clear, balanced and practical advice on grants administration requirements support governance, assurance and compliance activities identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce unnecessary complexity contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects work closely with legal, probity, audit and risk specialists to support sound decision-making mentor and support team members, helping to build capability and share knowledge You will also lead team members by setting clear priorities, fostering collaboration and creating a positive team culture where people can do their best work. Success in this role comes from balancing governance and compliance requirements with practical solutions that work in real-world settings. You'll bring a positive and proactive approach, strong relationship-building skills, resilience when challenges arise,



and a genuine commitment to work that makes a difference.

You demonstrate good self management and judgement by working within delegations and maintaining respect for colleagues advice and leaders’ decisions. Ideally, you’ll bring experience in grants administration, governance, policy,

compliance, assurance or program delivery, along with strong stakeholder engagement skills and an interest in genuine leadership. Most importantly, you’re proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
