The Role

In order to support our continued growth, we are seeking applications from detail-focused Payroll professionals with experience in an engineering consulting environment to join a supportive, inclusive, friendly, and collaborative team in our Perth office on a permanent part-time basis (days/hours can be discussed).

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of our Australian payroll, and supporting the payroll process for employees based overseas, working closely with Finance and HR.

- End‑to‑end processing of the Australian payroll in accordance with legislation, awards and company policies
- Reviewing and validating monthly timesheets (including following up on anomalies or missing data) to ensure accurate payroll and project billing
- Maintaining employee records and processing new starters, terminations and contractual changes
- Calculating and processing leave entitlements and other payroll adjustments
- Reconciling payroll, superannuation and other statutory obligations




- Coordinating with overseas staff and/or external providers to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees who live and work overseas
- Assisting with payroll reporting, reconciliations and audits
- Responding to payroll and timesheet queries from employees in a professional and timely manner
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll and timesheet processes, controls and documentation
- Managing workers compensation renewals

Our Ideal Candidate

To excel in this role, you will have the following:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an end-to-end payroll role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and leave entitlements.
- Experience in a timesheet driven environment (professional services or similar preferred).
- Exposure to paying or supporting payroll for overseas based employees (preferred but not essential).
- Proficient with payroll systems and comfortable working with Excel.
- High attention to detail, solid organisational skills and the ability to work independently in a small team.
- Clear communicator with a employee focused approach and strict respect for confidentiality.
