Our client, a leading global enterprise technology organisation, is seeking a Senior Kubernetes & Storage Engineer to support enterprise cloud-native environments across Australia and New Zealand.

This is a senior, hands-on engineering position for someone who combines strong production Kubernetes experience with practical knowledge of enterprise or cloud-native storage.

You will work closely with customers, architects, project managers and engineering teams to deploy, maintain and troubleshoot Kubernetes platforms and their underlying storage, backup and disaster-recovery services.

Direct Portworx experience is highly regarded. However, candidates with strong Kubernetes and comparable enterprise or container-storage experience are also encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, maintain and troubleshoot production Kubernetes environments.

Support Kubernetes cluster upgrades, platform changes, performance improvements and production incidents.

Implement and support container platforms such as OpenShift, Rancher or equivalent technologies.

Deploy and support cloud-native storage and data-protection solutions, including Portworx where applicable.

Configure and troubleshoot CSI drivers, StorageClasses, persistent volumes, PVCs and dynamic storage provisioning.

Integrate Kubernetes with block,



file, object, enterprise and cloud-storage platforms.

Implement and test snapshots, backup, restoration, replication, high availability and disaster recovery.

Troubleshoot complex issues across Kubernetes, Linux, networking, storage and containerised applications.

Automate platform and infrastructure deployment using Terraform, Ansible, GitOps or comparable tools.

Implement monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar platforms.

Work directly with customers on technical discovery, implementation, production support and problem resolution.

Prepare technical documentation, operating procedures and troubleshooting runbooks.

Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions for customer and support teams.

Collaborate with internal engineering teams, product support, delivery partners and system integrators.

Essential

Requirements

Approximately seven or more years of hands-on experience in platform, infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, SRE or storage engineering.

At least three years of practical experience deploying, operating or troubleshooting production Kubernetes environments.

Strong Linux administration and production troubleshooting experience.





Practical experience with enterprise or cloud-native storage, including a combination of:

Kubernetes CSI drivers and energetic provisioning

Persistent volumes, PVCs and StorageClasses

SAN/NAS, NFS, iSCSI, block, file or object storage

Software-defined or container-native storage

Enterprise storage arrays or cloud-storage services

Snapshots, backup, restore and data protection

Replication, high availability and disaster recovery

Persistent storage for databases and stateful applications

Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, automation or CI/CD technologies.

Good networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS and load balancing.

Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently in enterprise production environments.
