About The Team The College of Law, Arts and Social Sciences was established in January 2023, bringing together the Schools of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, Media and Communication, Law and Criminology, and Indigenous Knowledges. This combination strengthens cross‑disciplinary expertise and enables innovative, multidisciplinary research and teaching.

Position Overview We are seeking appointments at either Senior Lecturer (LevelC) or Associate Professor (LevelD). Both levels contribute to high‑quality research, teaching and service within a collaborative academic environment.

Key Responsibilities Senior Lecturer (LevelC) - Lead teaching and curriculum in Regenerative Tourism, driving high‑quality delivery, innovation, and continuous improvement across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

- Contribute to research, partnerships and student success, including supervising Honours/HDR students and supporting inclusive, culturally safe learning experiences.
- Build capability and support academic operations, mentoring colleagues, coordinating units/programs, and contributing to governance, service and engagement.

Associate

Professor (LevelD) - Provide strategic leadership in Regenerative Tourism, building high‑impact partnerships and advancing teaching, research and engagement outcomes.

- Lead curriculum, innovation and academic quality, shaping program design, governance and teaching excellence while influencing practice across the university and sector.
- Drive research leadership and academic capability, securing funding, mentoring staff, supervising HDR students, and contributing to strategic initiatives and external engagement.

Qualifications Senior Lecturer (LevelC)



- PhD in a relevant discipline with a strong research track record, growing national/international recognition, and active collaboration.

- Relevant qualified experience with demonstrated impact and the ability to integrate practice into teaching, research and engagement.
- Teaching and curriculum leadership, including design, delivery and renewal of high‑quality programs across modes, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Research training and partnerships, including supervision of Honours/HDR students and ability to build and sustain effective collaborations.
- Leadership, service and collaboration, including governance, mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to equity, inclusion and university values.

Associate

Professor (LevelD) - PhD in a relevant discipline with a distinguished research track record, success in securing competitive funding and established national/international recognition.

- Extensive professional/industry experience with demonstrated leadership and impact, integrated across teaching, research and engagement.
- Strategic leadership in teaching and curriculum, including governance, quality assurance, innovation and program–level development.
- Research leadership and capability building, including HDR supervision, securing funding, mentoring staff and fostering a high‑performing research and teaching culture.




- Senior leadership and influence, including building partnerships, shaping strategy, contributing to governance, and advancing equity, diversity and inclusion.

Salary and Benefits Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) Senior Lecturer (LevelC): $138,321–$159,219 (prorata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Associate

Professor (LevelD): $166,186–$182,899 (prorata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Additional benefits include: 2% salary increase under the Enterprise Agreement; flexible work arrangements; cultural load allowance (up to $8,944 per year for First Nations employees); Indigenous language allowance;

salary packaging options; employee assistance program; and on‑campus services such as childcare, gym, veterinary and chiropractic facilities.
