My client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide network engineering expertise in the areas of data centre relocation, data networking, storage networking, cabling, application load balancing, firewalls and security.

As a Senior Engineer you will be working in a small team and be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing creative scalable network technology solutions to ensure the network meets both current and future needs.

You will also serve as the principal technology stakeholder and owner for the network infrastructure, providing strategic oversight and direction to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and future growth.

This is a senior Network Engineer opportunity and applicants are expected to have a minimum of 10 years hands on Network engineering experience working in large enterprise-wide organizations.

The ideal candidate would have previously worked on at least one recent data centre relocation.

Responsibility Skills and Experience

· 10 years’ experience in a similar role as a Senior Network Engineer within large enterprise organisations.





· Extensive experience in configuring and maintaining LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure in a multi-vendor environment.

· Demonstrated experience in 24x7 mission-critical environments, preferably within the financial sector.

· Demonstrated capability in designing, implementing, and supporting complex network systems.

· Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, IP telephony, and wireless solutions.

· In-depth understanding of core network technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF,

· Ethernet switching and routing, IPSec, and SSL VPNs

· Comprehensive understanding of various WAN technologies.

· Solid experience working with load balancer technologies, DNS, and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB).

Essential skills

· Cisco, Citrix, and Fortinet.

· Cisco Nexus virtualisation technologies and Cisco ACI

This is a Hybrid role based in Parramatta and includes on call rostered support
