We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in Bundoora, Victoria. This permanent, full time role is essential in providing high-quality therapeutic services to our clients, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our multidisciplinary team, ensuring that our clients receive comprehensive and tailored care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients’ needs and develop individualised treatment plans.
- Implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions to enhance clients’ functional abilities and independence.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and support for clients.
- Educate clients and their families about treatment options and strategies for daily living.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies.
- Participate in professional development activities and stay current with best practices in occupational therapy.
- Supervise and mentor junior therapists and support staff as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on rehabilitation and community care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in the use of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques relevant to occupational therapy.
