- Contract role with potential to gain experience within NSW Government
Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Senior Pharmaceutical Officer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administer the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act and Regulation, including undertaking compliance and enforcement activities toward the objective of protecting public health and safety.
2. Prepare and issue authorities to prescribe and/or supply medicines and poisons under the provisions of the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods legislation in accord with Quality Regulatory Services timelines.
3. Work cooperatively within and across teams and actively support others to achieve Branch objectives effectively and efficiently.
4. Maintaining accurate knowledge of the diverse and complex medicines regulatory framework,
and relationships with other regulatory agencies, including in relation to recent approaches and initiatives.
Selection Criteria:
1. Tertiary qualification in a Health related discipline including pharmacology and pharmaceutics and the application of this knowledge in recent clinical practice.
Qualifications may include a Bachelor of Pharmacy, registration with AHPRA as a pharmacist, or ability to demonstrate similar experience.
2. High level of organisation to balance workload, priorities and meeting deadlines.
3. The officer must be able to work cooperatively and independently with minimal supervision.
