Job Type: Full Time. DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a Lead Payroll Specialist in AUS – Alexandria, Bourke Road.

Responsibilities

- Accurately and timely process end‑to‑end weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls in Australia and New Zealand in accordance with applicable Employee Agreements, Modern Awards and local regulations
- Preparation of all ad‑hoc/manual payments outside of standard pay runs including but not limited to terminations, commissions, bonuses, parental leave and workers compensation
- Accurately and timely process termination payments in accordance with company policies and local regulations
- Accurately and timely process month end and year end processes including but not limited to journals, payroll tax processing, lodgement and reconciliation, reporting and third‑party payments
- Provide Workers Comp PIAWE information as required, ensure reconciliation is regularly performed and compile information to assist with the annual Workers Compensation renewals for the relevant state
- Efficient management of payroll analytical reporting requirements to stakeholders across the business by compiling complex analytical reports relating to headcount, leave history and liability, payroll cost,



compensation data and other relevant reports as required (e.g., WGEA)
- Collaborate with the P&O; team and other key stakeholders to determine HRIS and payroll system needs, and to identify system improvements and enhancements
- Manage the payroll inbox and provide excellent customer service to employees at all levels by professionally and timely responding to payroll queries
- Uphold a professional attitude and approach to handling sensitive and confidential information
- Additional reasonable tasks as directed by your manager

Qualifications

- Experience with iChris is essential
- Robust experience in a high‑volume payroll administrative role
- Proficiency in understanding Modern Awards and Employee Agreements
- Expertise in understanding termination and redundancy rules
- Strong understanding of employment and tax legislation relevant to payroll
- Advanced use of Excel including complex formulas and functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, Pivot tables etc.
- Demonstrated experience in payroll systems and technology leading to process improvement and recommendations
- Ability to build robust relationships at all levels
