An established and growing commercial construction business based in North Melbourne is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to play a key role in driving business performance, strategic growth and operational excellence within a well-respected construction business.

About the Role Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading the finance function, providing strategic financial direction and partnering with the leadership team to support continued growth.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading all financial operations across the business.
- Preparing monthly and annual financial reporting.
- Cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Managing project financial performance, WIP reporting and job costing.
- Driving commercial decision-making and business improvements.
- Developing financial controls, governance and compliance.
- Managing external auditors, accountants and banking relationships.




- Leading and mentoring the finance team.

About You To be successful in this role you will have:

- 3-10 years' experience as a Chief Financial Officer within an Australian construction business (essential).
- Demonstrated experience within commercial, civil or infrastructure construction.
- Robust understanding of project accounting, WIP reporting, job costing and construction cash flow.
- Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and influence strategic business decisions.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- CPA or CA qualification.
- Permanent Australian Resident or Australian Citizen (essential).
- Full Australian working rights.
