About the Role

The Parks & Gardens Branch is responsible for the care, management and operation of the Sunshine Coast’s extensive network of public open spaces, parks and recreational areas. Supporting both active and passive recreation, the branch plays a vital role in preserving the region’s natural environment while maintaining attractive, safe and accessible community spaces. Working within a globally recognised UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the team contributes to creating a connected, liveable and thriving region for residents and visitors alike.

As the Parks Services Delivery Leader (Infrastructure),



you will provide operational leadership for the maintenance and management of parks infrastructure across the Sunshine Coast region. Leading a dedicated team, you will oversee maintenance programs, contracts, budgets, compliance activities and asset performance initiatives to ensure community assets remain safe, functional and well-presented. This is an exciting opportunity to influence long-term asset outcomes, drive continuous improvement and support the delivery of high-quality public spaces that make a real difference to the community.

About you

You bring qualifications in project management, contract management, construction management or a related discipline, along with practical experience in parks infrastructure, asset maintenance or similar environments.

You are a confident and capable leader who enjoys mentoring teams, building capability and creating a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.

You have strong stakeholder engagement skills and can effectively communicate, negotiate and build productive relationships across teams, contractors and the wider community.

You are highly organised and commercially aware, with experience managing competing priorities, budgets, compliance requirements and asset management systems while delivering quality outcomes.
