The Senior Product Manager (SPM) will be responsible for driving the customer and commercial outcomes for the Bell Potter Private Wealth Service.

The Private Wealth

Service is a portfolio of capabilities which includes portfolio administration, tax and performance reporting, an IDPS or wrap offering, separately managed accounts and a digital experience. These capabilities come together to offer a holistic, end-to-end wealth management service. There is a pipeline of product opportunities to expand the offering over time including a SMSF offering, retail superannuation offering and working with the Chief Investment Officer to launch proprietary managed accounts.

This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, stockbroking services and investment advice, paired with expertise in product development and management. The SPM will work closely with cross-functional teams, including third party partners, technology, user experience design, distribution and marketing, legal and compliance, to ensure that our platform delivers value to self-directed clients, advised clients and advisers.

Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap: Lead the development and execution of the product roadmap for the Private Wealth Service including looking for Group-wide opportunities to access new markets and adjacent product opportunities.

Commercial Outcomes: Actively manage the product P&L; to drive commercial outcomes. This could include identifying and executing on efficiency measures monitoring and managing low profitability segments, driving adviser uptake through campaigns, negotiating favourable fund manager pricing or process improvements as well as actively managing product pricing.

Continuous Improvement:



Define and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring that features and improvements are delivered in alignment with business priorities. Look for opportunities to leverage partner capabilities for product enhancement.

Develop robust business partnerships: Own and develop strong and productive working relationships with key third party providers. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with technology, business stakeholders, operations, risk and compliance teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.

Market Research & Analysis: Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the private wealth industry. Conduct competitive analysis and gather customer feedback to inform product decisions.

Performance & Analytics: Monitor product performance metrics, user behaviour, and financial data to assess the success of features and identify areas for improvement. Leverage data to drive decision-making and optimise product offerings. Liaise closely with the Adviser Services Team to understand adviser pain points and improvement opportunities.

Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that the end-to-end private wealth service offering adheres to industry regulations and compliance requirements. Work with legal, risk and compliance teams to integrate necessary safeguards and risk controls into the product design.



Remain up to date with regulatory requirements and changes in the advice industry.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding the status of product initiatives, timelines, and outcomes. Regularly update senior leadership and the adviser network on product progress and results. Conduct product training as required and ensure adviser support material/service is accessible and high quality to support product adoption and usage.

Key Skills and Experience: Extensive and proven experience in a product management role within financial services, preferably wealth management. Strong understanding of equities trading and funds management, brokerage services and financial markets. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate product vision, and roadmaps to both senior stakeholders and more broadly to the adviser and staff network.

Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset. A customer-first mindset with the ability to prioritise product developments that enhance the adviser and customer experience. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Solid understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in financial services and experience in managing product risk and control environments.

Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience in product management or product development Extensive experience in finance, economics, or a related field is a plus.
