We’re Hiring: Senior Registered Architect

At Carr, great design is shaped by curiosity, rigour and collaboration. We’re seeking a Senior Registered Architect to contribute to the delivery of primarily multi-residential projects, ensuring service delivery, project excellence and strong commercial outcomes. Working with design leaders, Associates and project teams, this role will produce work across all phases of the architectural process, from feasibility, concept and design development through to documentation, consultant coordination and construction delivery.

What you'll do

As our Senior Registered Architect, you’ll support and lead the following architectural project outcomes:

- Producing work across all phases of the architectural process, including feasibility, concept design, design development, documentation and construction delivery
- Supporting the management of projects through programming, resourcing, project set-up, documentation, specifications and schedules
- Preparing and presenting feasibility reports, design proposals, detailed working drawings and specifications
- Independently coordinating consultants and contributing to clear communication across clients, consultants and internal project teams
- Reviewing contracts, engagement obligations, quality assurance protocols and project requirements to support effective delivery
- Undertaking site inspections to record compliance, risk and progress relevant to project scope
- Assisting to resolve issues throughout the construction phase in line with design intent and project outcomes
- Building strong client and consultant relationships and contributing to Carr’s reputation for considered, high-quality design delivery
- Mentoring and supporting team members,



encouraging constructive team dynamics and cross-disciplinary collaboration within the studio
- Contributing to project systems, templates, marketing and business development activities as required
- Adhering to company policies and procedures, including Carr’s Quality, Safety and Environment System

What you bring We’re looking for someone who brings strong architectural judgement, technical capability and leadership across complex project environments, including:

- 10+ years post-graduate experience, with architectural registration in Queensland
- End-to-end experience across all project phases, with demonstrated capability in architectural delivery
- Experience in the delivery of multi-residential projects, with broader experience across residential, commercial and/or hospitality sectors highly regarded
- High proficiency in Revit, with strong design, presentation and technical documentation skills
- Advanced technical knowledge of building materials, construction methods, consultant coordination and applicable codes, standards and regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with clients, consultants and internal teams
- Sound analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to anticipate issues and provide practical, proactive solutions
- A cooperative and supportive leadership style, with a willingness to mentor,



guide and encourage team members
- A client-focused and results-driven approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment
