Due to our continued success in delivering highly skilled professionals, we are currently seeking an experienced Risk Lead to join our client on a permanent basis in Perth.
This is an exciting opportunity for an autonomous risk professional who can lead risk management activities, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and drive effective risk outcomes across complex infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management Leadership
- Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive risk registers, ensuring alignment with organisational risk frameworks and ISO principles.
- Facilitate risk workshops with multidisciplinary project teams to identify, assess, and manage technical, safety, commercial, and delivery risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and risk-reduction initiatives to improve project outcomes.
- Establish risk reporting, dashboards, and metrics to monitor residual risk and mitigation progress.
- Integrate risk management considerations into safety, quality, and environmental processes.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance activities while ensuring alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular risk reporting and insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Tender & Bid Risk Support
- Provide risk analysis and strategic input into major infrastructure tenders and proposals.
- Identify project-specific risks, assess commercial impacts, and support the development of appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Lead risk workshops and review sessions with project, estimating, commercial, and senior management teams.
- Support the preparation of risk management plans and contingency assessments for bids.
- Assist with due diligence reviews of potential partners, subcontractors, and project delivery risks.
- Maintain awareness of market, regulatory, and industry risks impacting infrastructure projects.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience leading risk management activities within complex infrastructure, construction, engineering, or similar environments.
- Strong capability to independently facilitate stakeholder workshops and drive risk outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining risk registers, risk frameworks, and mitigation strategies.
- Experience working with project teams across engineering, design, construction, commercial, and delivery functions.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to analyse complex information and provide practical, commercially focused risk advice.
- Experience supporting tender, bid, or proposal risk assessments will be highly regarded.
