About the Prospect

PARC Engineering is seeking experienced Senior SMP Project Engineers to join a long-term FIFO completions project in Western Australia's Goldfields region. This is an opportunity to take on a key leadership role on a major SMP project, driving successful delivery through to completion while collaborating with high-performing site teams in a fast-paced and safety-focused environment.

- FIFO 8&6 Roster
- 12 hour days
- 12-month duration

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the planning, execution and close-out of SMP completion activities, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, supervisors and construction teams to achieve project milestones.
- Oversee mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and handover activities in accordance with project completion systems and client requirements.
- Drive completion readiness by managing punch lists, defect rectification and turnover documentation.
- Inspection & verification of mechanical installation activities during planned outages, providing support during plant reinstatement and return-to-service activities.
- Coordinate with commissioning, QA/QC, engineering and client representatives to ensure seamless transition from construction to commissioning.
- Monitor project progress, productivity and performance, identifying and implementing solutions to mitigate risks and delays.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian Standards and statutory & client HSE requirements.
- Review and approve work packs, inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements and construction documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to site engineers, supervisors and construction personnel.
- Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts and completion metrics to project management and the client.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, vendors and internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.

Role requirements:





- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years relevant industry experience in an Engineering role within the mining, construction or industrial industries
- Proven experience on a previous Completions Project
- Excellent knowledge of relevant Australian and international engineering standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience interfacing with clients and strong stakeholder management skills
- Proven project management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver work within agreed budget, timeframe and client requirements
