Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital

Be Part of a Landmark Transformation in Healthcare, St John of God Subiaco Hospital, Western Australia's oldest private hospital, is undergoing a once-in-a-generation transformation — a multi-stage redevelopment that will establish a world-class hospital campus. This ambitious project is redefining private healthcare through a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, clinical excellence, and patient-centred care.

As part of this exciting journey, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery of the St John of God Subiaco Hospital redevelopment, partnering with caregivers, consultants and contractors to successfully deliver construction, operational readiness and transition activities. Working within a live operational setting, you will collaborate with caregivers, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to manage all aspects of the redevelopment — from design and authority approvals to construction delivery, reporting, and commissioning.

With construction of the Stage 3 New Clinical Building scheduled from 2026 to 2028, this role offers a rare opportunity to contribute to a transformative healthcare project. You will be accountable for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of project outcomes, ensuring alignment with agreed timeframes, quality standards, and budget parameters.

Pleas learn more about the journey so far on the Subiaco Hospital Redevelopment website.

The full-time role is offered on a fixed-term, contract through to March 2029.

The Position

- Lead the planning, scoping and delivery of complex redevelopment projects, ensuring objectives are achieved within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards.
- Manage project governance, risk, scope, resources and stakeholder expectations to drive successful project outcomes.
- Prepare and present project, financial and governance reports, including forecasting, budget management and performance monitoring.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, consultants and contractors to support project delivery and organisational objectives.
- Lead, mentor and support multidisciplinary project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability and high performance.
- Oversee procurement activities, vendor relationships and contract management processes to ensure effective service delivery and value for money.
- Provide strong leadership and communication, driving continuous improvement, change management and positive engagement across the redevelopment program.

To be successful in the role, you will bring significant experience managing complex redevelopment projects across the full project lifecycle, supported by tertiary qualifications in construction management, architecture, engineering or a related discipline. You will have strong project management and commercial acumen, including experience in procurement, contract negotiation and the management of multiple high-value consultancy and construction contracts. Experience delivering construction projects within high-risk live operational environment will be highly regarded.

You will be a collaborative and influential leader with exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills. With proven experience developing project briefs, business cases and strategic project documentation, you will be able to navigate complexity, solve problems and drive outcomes while managing competing priorities. Your ability to work autonomously,

lead teams and foster productive partnerships will be complemented by strong organisational skills and a commitment to delivering successful project outcomes. Experience within the healthcare sector and large project management teams will be advantageous.

Above all, patient care will be at the heart of everything you do, with a commitment to upholding and promoting the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
