Laynhapuy Homelands Aboriginal Corporation (Laynha) is seeking an experienced and community-focused Senior Participant Support Coordinator to join our Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) team.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting people into meaningful work, mentoring staff, and helping deliver a solid, community-led employment program. About Us

Laynha is a not-for-profit organisation supporting 30 homeland communities across East Arnhem Land for more than 40 years. We deliver essential services including healthcare, aged care, housing, community services, and land and sea management.

About RAES

RAES is a federally funded employment program delivered by Laynha across Arnhem Land. It supports local job seekers to build skills, overcome barriers, and move into sustainable employment through a flexible, strengths-based and community-led approach.

About the Role

As the Senior Participant Support Coordinator, you will play a key leadership role in supporting participants and strengthening the delivery of the RAES program. You will work closely with participants, employers, and the broader team to ensure services are practical, culturally safe, and focused on long‑term outcomes.

In this role, you will:

- Support participants through intake, planning, and ongoing mentoring
- Assist participants to build confidence, skills, and job readiness
- Provide day‑to‑day coordination and on‑the‑job support to team members
- Step into the 2IC role and support the Manager when required
- Build strong relationships with employers, training providers, and community stakeholders
- Support program delivery, compliance, reporting,



and participant outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and participant data
- Work collaboratively to strengthen local employment pathways and opportunities

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Passionate about supporting people to build confidence, skills, and pathways into employment
- A strong communicator who can build positive relationships across community, employers, and stakeholders
- Experienced in leading, mentoring, and supporting staff in a practical and collaborative way
- Organised and confident managing participant needs, team priorities, and program requirements
- Culturally respectful, community‑minded, and committed to strengths‑based practice
- Proactive, solutions‑focused, and able to adapt in a dynamic remote community environment
- Committed to confidentiality, professionalism, and delivering high‑quality support services

Skills and Requirements

- Knowledge of Australian Government Employment Services in general and detailed knowledge of the RAES program
- Demonstrated experience coordinating, mentoring, or supporting teams
- Strong case management, participant engagement, and record‑keeping skills
- Experience working with employers, training providers, and community stakeholders
- Confidence in delivering culturally safe and strengths‑based support practices
- Strong administration, reporting, and data entry skills
- Understanding of Aboriginal cultural values, protocols, and remote community contexts
- Current Open Driver’s Licence
- NT Ochre Card and National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
