This opportunity is with an energy infrastructure organisation delivering complex projects across Australia. The business is continuing to strengthen its project delivery capability and is looking for an experienced project leader to support improved governance, assurance, and consistency across its project portfolio.

You will join a team-oriented team focused on improving project outcomes, embedding best practice, and supporting project teams to successfully navigate complex delivery environments.

Your New Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide project governance, assurance, and delivery expertise across the full project lifecycle.

Working across multiple business units, you will support projects from initial business case and concept development through governance approvals, development, Final Investment Decision (FID), construction, commissioning, and project close.

This role is suited to an experienced project leader who has successfully delivered complex infrastructure projects and understands the challenges of managing risk, stakeholder expectations, commercial outcomes, and delivery performance. Using your practical experience, you will guide project teams, challenge assumptions, improve project readiness, and support successful progression through key decision points.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide governance, assurance, and project delivery expertise across the full project lifecycle,



supporting projects from early development through to delivery and close out.
- Guide project teams through key approval milestones, ensuring projects are well prepared, risks are identified, and decisions are supported by quality information.
- Challenge project strategies, delivery approaches, and assumptions to improve project confidence and outcomes.
- Embed consistent project management frameworks, governance processes, and delivery practices across multiple business units.
- Prepare clear recommendations, reports, and presentations for senior stakeholders and governance forums.

Your Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

- Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field; PMP, APM PMQ, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Extensive experience delivering complex energy or major infrastructure projects from development through to completion.
- Experience navigating structured governance, approval, or stage gate processes and presenting through key decision points.
- Strong understanding of project controls, risk management, commercial management, and delivery frameworks.
- Experience improving project management processes, governance procedures, or delivery standards across teams or business functions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence project teams, senior leaders, and executive stakeholders.
