We're partnering with a leading Australian organisation to recruit an experienced IT Infrastructure Lead to take ownership of a national enterprise infrastructure environment.

This is a true hands‑on leadership role where you’ll drive the design, implementation and ongoing operation of the organisation’s core infrastructure, networking, cloud and cybersecurity platforms. You’ll work across traditional infrastructure and modern cloud technologies, helping shape the future architecture while ensuring critical business systems remain secure, resilient and highly available.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

- Leading enterprise infrastructure across multiple national sites
- Designing and supporting Azure cloud architecture and hybrid infrastructure environments
- Managing Cisco networking including routing, switching, firewalls and wireless
- Administering Windows Server, VMware and Hyper-V platforms
- Driving infrastructure security using Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Mimecast and Proofpoint
- Leading vulnerability management, patching and infrastructure hardening
- Managing backup, disaster recovery and business continuity
- Supporting a Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) environment
- Providing technical leadership, major incident management and vendor oversight
- Driving automation, standardisation and continuous improvement across the infrastructure estate

About You





You’ll have strong experience across enterprise infrastructure and cloud environments with the ability to lead technical outcomes while remaining hands‑on.

Ideally you’ll bring experience with:

- Azure Infrastructure and Azure Architecture
- Hybrid cloud design and migration
- Cisco enterprise networking (LAN, WAN, Firewalls, VPNs and Wireless)
- Windows Server
- VMware and Hyper-V
- CrowdStrike, Mimecast and Proofpoint
- Infrastructure security and vulnerability management
- Patch management and automation
- Backup and disaster recovery
- Infrastructure monitoring and performance optimisation

Experience working within regulated or security-focused environments, including Defence or DISP, will be highly regarded.
