About the Team
The Ticketing Services team sits within the Destination and Audiences pillar and is responsible for proactively delivering personalised ticketing and customer services of value to our patrons that create the ultimate experience before, during and after each visit.
Variable-time employment is unique to Arts Centre Melbourne and strikes the balance between security and flexibility. You have a guaranteed number of weekly hours with the chance to flex up to 38 hours if your availability matches available shifts.
Guaranteed weekly hours are worked out as an average of your weekly hours over a 12-month period. Depending on your availability and operational needs your hours in each week may flex up or down but will result in a minimum of your contracted hours over a 12 month period. This flexibility means you can enjoy commitments and pursuits outside of work. Variable-time is similar to working flexible part-time, you are rostered on a weekly basis and paid based on hours, or part there of, worked.
About the Role
You will use your excellent customer service skills to deliver remarkable and personalised ticketing service to our customers.
Hours of work may vary, are based around Box Office and Contact Centre hours, and with a large proportion at night and on weekends, particularly Friday and Saturday.
Your Skills and Experience
We are looking for our next customer service superstar!
- Experience in the delivery of customer service that has resulted in successful and enjoyable customer experiences
- Experience working efficiently with a high level of detail in a high volume customer service environment with multiple forms of contact (Face-to-face, phones, email) is an advantage
- Experience working with an assortment of point of sale and payment systems handling and balancing a variety of payment methods
- General office work with a strong emphasis on computer usage
- Experience with Tessitura or other ticketing platforms or broader arts, tourism, cinema, and entertainment industry is not essential but may be an advantage
- May be required to work in an underground office environment

Availability
- At least 4 full days (approx. 08:00-20:30) of availability
- Regularly provide availability Friday night and All Saturday (3 or more times each, per month)
- A range of availability across days, nights, weekends.
