Role Description The Senior Solutions Architect role is a contract position based in Melbourne, VIC in a hybrid working model, combining on-site client engagement with some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the architect will lead solution design across complex initiatives, translating business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical architectures. Daily activities include consulting with stakeholders, conducting architecture assessments, defining integration patterns, and overseeing end-to-end solution delivery in collaboration with engineering and product teams.

The Senior Solutions

Architect will create architecture artefacts such as reference architectures, solution blueprints, and roadmaps,



and will provide guidance on governance, standards, and best practices. The role also involves mentoring other architects and technical staff, contributing to continuous improvement of architecture frameworks, and ensuring solutions align with broader enterprise and business process objectives.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Solution Architecture, including end-to-end design, technology selection, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

- Solid Consulting skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and articulating complex technical concepts in business terms.

- Hands-on background in Software Development, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and understand modern application architectures.

- Experience with Integration design and patterns, including APIs, messaging, and data flows across heterogeneous systems.

- Solid understanding of Business Process analysis and optimisation, ensuring solutions support efficient and measurable business outcomes.

- Proven track record in large-scale or multi-vendor environments, preferably within enterprise or government sectors.

- Familiarity with common architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF or similar) and related tooling.

- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting in Melbourne, VIC.

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced certifications in architecture or cloud platforms are highly regarded.
