About The Role: Reporting to our Tax Lead, this role will lead the development and delivery of CPA Australia’s tax training and professional development programs, translating complex tax reforms, Budget measures and legislative changes into practical, member-focused learning. You will combine deep technical expertise with strong communication skills to deliver high-quality training, develop policy positions and create practical resources that help members navigate change with confidence. This role is an initial 6 month contract and can be based in any of our office around Australia Key Responsibilities: Analyse and interpret tax legislation, Budget measures and policy reforms across income tax, CGT, trusts and related areas.

Design and deliver CPD programs, webinars, technical briefings and learning resources.

Develop technical content, worked examples and member guidance that is accurate, practical and easy to apply.

Prepare policy submissions, consultation responses and stakeholder briefings.

Represent CPA Australia in consultations and industry discussions with government, regulators and professional bodies.

Create presentations and educational content for experienced tax practitioners and professional audiences.

About You: Significant experience in tax advisory, technical, policy or professional standards roles.

Strong technical knowledge of Australian income tax, CGT and trusts.

Demonstrated experience analysing legislation and policy proposals.

Proven ability to develop training, presentations and technical learning content.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience preparing policy submissions and engaging with stakeholders.

CPA, CA, CTA or relevant legal/accounting qualifications highly regarded.
