Infrastructure Engineers implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Kubernetes clusters to support tactical threat hunting tooling.
- Develop IaC templates and automation scripts for container orchestration.
- Integrate containerised workloads with supporting infrastructure and services.
- Ensure secure, resilient and scalable deployments aligned with ASD standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across AP, infrastructure and cyber operations teams.
- Document deployment architecture and operational procedures.
Skills/Experience
- Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform, Ansible.
- Robust understanding of container security and workload management.
- Ability to work collaboratively within Commonwealth delivery teams.
Desirable criteria
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP
- Familiarity with cyber security operations or threat hunting environments.
