Senior Unreal Pipeline Developer

Salt is working with a leading studio who specialise in live-action commercials, CGI, visual effects, and immersive technology experiences across VR, mobile, and large-format displays.

We're looking for a Senior Unreal Pipeline Developer to join this exciting business and help drive the next evolution of the real-time rendering platform.

This is an opportunity to work across Unreal Engine, VFX pipelines, cloud rendering, and production tooling. You will focus on building systems that enable mass-scale content production both on-premises and in the cloud.

The Role

- Design and develop pipeline solutions using Unreal Engine (C++, Python, and Blueprints)
- Develop and maintain core middleware libraries
- Contribute to build and deployment processes using Jenkins, Perforce, and Rez
- Update, debug, and manage custom Unreal Engine builds
- Reduce legacy dependencies and improve pipeline maintainability
- Identify and resolve rendering, memory, and throughput bottlenecks
- Optimise real-time and offline render workflows at scale
- Support Technical Artists and junior developers
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and evolving development practices

The person
- Strong experience as a Developer working primarily with Unreal Engine
- Solid proficiency in C++, Python, and Blueprints




- Experience with Perforce and Git
- Solid understanding of real-time rendering, shaders, and the graphics pipeline
- Familiarity with Agile development and the software development lifecycle
- Understanding of architectural principles such as TDD, SOA, DDD, and SRP
- Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback
