Can you spare just ONE HOUR per week to become a Social Volunteer? Just one hour a week can make a real difference.
Weâre seeking a friendly, reliable volunteer to spend one on one time with a lovely lady who lives at home and enjoys great conversation about your shared interests.
What youâll do
- Enjoy relaxed chats about gardening, plants and produce
- Enjoy watching a movie and doing crosswords or puzzles together
- Offer companionship, conversation, and connection
This role would suit someone who is:
- Warm, patient, and a positive listener
- Reliable and able to give a little bit of time each week or fortnight
- Keen to build a genuine friendship
No special skills or experience are needed â just empathy, consistency, and a genuine willingness to connect.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.
